The Risk & Assurance Group Boldly Goes…

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.

Okay!  So the Risk & Assurance Group (RAG) isn’t quite Star Trek.  But we are at the forefront of industry and technological advancements and we do live in challenging times.  Perhaps this is more appropriate for RAG:

The future: the final frontier.  This is the voyage of the Risk & Assurance Group.  Its continuing mission: to explore strange new technologies, to seek out new markets and new industries, to boldly go where no other group has gone before.

Joking aside, we are challenged and so we grow, develop and adapt as we need to.  However, sometimes that challenge can seem insurmountable unless we have the right skills, knowledge and support.  Like Star Trek, we have our vessel (the RAG), and we have a crew (our RAG members and the committee).  Our success is not pinned to an individual.  It takes the whole crew to succeed.

As part of RAG’s ongoing mission, we’re here to deal with new challenges, get attention to things that pose a threat and seek to address those that will.

Our final meeting of 2016 is almost upon us, scheduled for Thursday 3rd November in London, and it’s going to close out the year with a look into some key initiatives that RAG is supporting, in addition to some really hot topics in security and fraud. You can book your place by registering here.

Here are some of the highlights from the agenda for the meeting:

  • Fraud and law enforcement experts Nick Kemsley (Action Fraud, City Police) and Jack Wraith MBE will talk about effective collaboration between telcos and the law enforcement community
  • A review and vote for David Morrow’s campaign to lobby UK telcos and authorities to use the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) to confiscate the profits of telecoms fraudsters
  • A case study about the evolution of revenue assurance and tackling margin leakage from Stuart Waton of Three
  • Sharing fraud data across industries from Mike Haley of Cifas

The meeting will also introduce and discuss the progress made by the following working groups:

If that was not enough, there will also be three quick-fire sessions introducing new approaches and activities in the management of identity and security.

The agenda is packed with quality and you don’t want to miss out on what our experts have to say. Join us, and take your chance to help plot our course into uncharted space.

It’s free to become a member of RAG and free to attend our Winter meeting. But if you want to come to our Thursday meeting you had better register immediately. Our ship is almost packed to its limit, and we will be giving preference to telco employees for the few remaining spaces available.

Come and join the subject matter experts, operators and thought-leaders for the next exciting installment in our enterprise.  Don’t just be a spectator; become part of the crew.

Until then, live long and prosper.
