TM Forum has prolonged the deadline for its revenue assurance (RA) survey to the 8th of December, to give more telcos the opportunity to participate in the survey and to enable them to perform the Revenue Assurance Maturity Model (RAMM) assessment for free.
Already reaching its 5th edition, the RA survey has been collaboratively enhanced by the TM Forum RA team to adapt to the survey participants’ evolving needs. The RA survey has been regarded as a valuable assessment tool for the state of RA maturity in the telco industry and by RA practitioners.
Maturity centric survey with benchmarking
The goal of the survey is to share and discuss insights and trends in RA and to provide telcos paths to achieve their future target stage. The survey is maturity centric and covers this year also a set of questions around strategic transformation capabilities, such as skills, execution, risk management, change management and performance.
A light free benchmarking report will be created again with focus on RA KPIs based on most common company profiles.
Are coverage levels and prevention on the rise?
In the last RA survey conducted two years ago, 40% of the companies’ revenues were not covered by the RA function. Plenty of new products and services have been introduced in the meanwhile, which is raising the question whether RA coverage could still be increased.
In late 2015, loss prevention was not a main priority of RA functions.
The new survey will shed light on how far RA has advanced in becoming more proactive.

Transformation of revenue assurance
To put more emphasis on organizations to become proactive value creators also outside their the RA core area, TM Forum has recently established a Business Assurance Initiative, which is a collaborative effort around the principle of free contribution and free deliverables. Area thought leaders are invited to join and in this way to actively contribute to a successful transformation of professions in the business assurance domain.
