RAG TV Season 2 Starts Soon

Timo Vainionpää of AurorA International Telecom and Donald Reinhart of LATRO Services will join the June 17 season premiere of the most internationally diverse news show for telco risk pros.

RAG Television is back next week, with a new series of weekly Wednesday live streaming shows that will build upon the format established during Season 1. Each episode of RAG TV will feature several guests discussing multiple topics, and we will read out as many comments and questions from the live audience as time permits. Season 2 begins on Wednesday 17th June at 10am New York/ 3pm London/ 7.30pm New Delhi with two great interviewees:

  • Timo Vainionpää, owner of AurorA International Telecom (pictured left) will join from Wellington, Canada. Timo will talk about the challenges of remaining competitive as a provider of international wholesale services when rivals exploit gray routes and offer low quality connections. He will also share his opinions about the negative impact that origin-based pricing has had on the market.
  • Donald Reinhart, CTO and COO of LATRO Services (pictured right) will explain the importance of speed when tackling bypass and why he feels test call solutions are inadequate unless complemented by other layers of controls. We will also discuss the ways the biggest RAFM vendors have been repositioning their offerings as changes in telco services lead to increased demand for network intelligence.

It was a thrill to host the first season, and I am looking forward to learning from the diverse range of guests who have agreed to participate in the new season. Future episodes will feature: Francis Afful, Senior Manager for RAFM at MTN Ghana; Ingrid Azzopardi, who leads the Internal Audit function at Maltese operator GO; and Kingsley Unah, who was previously Financial Controller and responsible for RAFM at Airtel Nigeria. International ERM executive Lee Scargall will return as my co-host, and we will once again open every episode with chat about the hottest topics in telecoms risk management. Check out the schedule and watch every episode here.

They say every cloud has a silver lining, and the enormous worldwide audience who watched RAG’s first virtual conference in May showed that the internet can bring us together even if coronavirus keeps us apart. The audience for that event keeps growing as new viewers keep watching the replay of each individual session. We intend to keep that momentum going with RAG Television, so we never return to the bad old ways that excluded so many voices that need and deserve to be heard. RAG Television will offer a platform for telco managers and subject matter experts from every continent. A global audience can sustain a global community, giving everybody the opportunity to be a leader of our profession. Watch the show, ask questions, and help us to develop the first truly global platform for telecoms risk and assurance professionals.
