Ingrid Azzopardi is the Group Internal Auditor of GO PLC and a founding member as well as a past chair of the Malta Forum for Internal Auditors. She is also the Secretary of the Malta Association of Risk Management. She has considerable experience of leading an internal audit function. Her responsibilities at GO also include fraud prevention, detection and investigation.
On an international level Ingrid is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Forum for the Irregular International Network Access (FIINA), whose Interconnect Committee she chaired. Ingrid has represented the GO Group at a number of conferences held locally and abroad and presented a number of papers on audit, revenue assurance and telecommunications fraud at international events held in Europe, the USA and China.
At different times Ingrid has also overseen other functions within GO, including security, business continuity planning and enterprise wide risk management.
Ingrid is currently an Independent Non Executive Director of the Board of HSBC Bank Malta plc, where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Committee. In the past she has held Board positions at the Housing Authority, the Teatru Manoel, the Mediterranean Conference Centre and HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Limited. At the latter company she also chaired the Audit and Risk Committee.
