Eric Chilton, ex Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency

Eric Chilton is an expert in security who formerly worked at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), where he held the rank of Special Agent in Charge. He now offers his services to industry as a security advisor via his own business, Chilton Security Partners.

The DCSA is a federal security agency of the United States Department of Defense. It is tasked with ensuring the trustworthiness of the United States Government’s workforce, the integrity of its cleared contractor support, and the uncompromised nature of its technologies, services, and supply chains through vetting, industry engagement and education. Eric and the DCSA are pioneers of continuous vetting, a process of perpetual review of an individual’s background to ensure they continue to meet security clearance requirements and should continue to hold positions of trust.

Eric’s areas of expertise include: continuous vetting, fraud, sabotage, insider threats, identifying and eliminating human vulnerabilities, technical indicators of IP theft or misuse, counterintelligence, employee safeguards, social engineering/elicitation and handling information targeted by competitors.

Eric began his security career with intelligence contractor firms, then became an appointee of the US Government, achieving the rank of Special Agent in Charge for Security and Counterintelligence.
