WeDo Technologies has recruited Raul Mascarenhas to a new position in their management team: Vice President with responsibility for business development in the retail, energy, finance and insurance sectors. You can see the press release here.
Regular readers of talkRA will appreciate that this move follows an established strategic pattern for WeDo. Compared to its major rivals, WeDo has taken a systematic lead at repackaging their core strengths and offerings in order to market them to companies outside of the telecoms sector. WeDo boss Rui Paiva said of the appointment:
Our aim is to become a truly multi-industry company. In 2013, our sales with customers outside of the telecom space in countries like Portugal, Russia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, USA and Mexico represented more than 10 per cent of total sales. We believe that this appointment will further accelerate this trend.
