Online learning platforms such as edX and Coursera offer top quality material from the best institutions in the world to learners all over the planet. Courses are offered for free and an additional fee allows successful participants to claim a certificate.
Four examples of cybersecurity courses that might interest telecom professionals are listed below:
- A professional certificate on Cybersecurity Fundamentals by IBM
- A micromaster’s program on Cybersecurity Fundamentals by RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology)
- Specialization on Introduction to Cybersecurity & Risk Management Specialization by University of California, Irvine
- Course on Mobile Payment Security by NYU
Micromaster’s are graduate level courses designed for further academic study or career advancement, while professional certificates and specializations are more geared towards professionals. Both edX and Coursera offer an abundance of data analytics courses, specializations and certificates at various levels from the basics all the way up to machine learning and AI. Some are academic oriented and there are even online Master’s programs offered, while others focus on giving practical solutions for immediate use in the workplace.
