It is the first birthday of RAG Learning, the online education platform from the Risk & Assurance Group (RAG) that supplies free courses to professionals worldwide. As we blow out the candle this month we can also celebrate the platform reaching new heights with a record number of enrollments for March 2019, as well as a record number of active users (users that consumed content). In this month we had 40% more course enrollments than the second ranking month (May 2018). About 60% of these enrollments came from existing users, and 40% from newly registered users. This shows that users who have taken courses previously are satisfied by the content offered and are returning to take more.
As a testament of the global reach of the platform we have users from more than 100 different companies and more than 82 different countries.
The top ten countries based on user count are: the UK, South Africa, India, Ethiopia, Ireland, Nigeria, Kuwait, Australia, Canada and USA. If we examine traffic for the past month, then Sweden, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Botswana, Tanzania, USA, Canada and Indonesia lead the way. The most popular courses for the past month based on traffic were the new Prepaid course, along with the Risk and Interconnection courses. Based on overall enrollments Interconnection, Risk and Fraud are the most popular courses.
Obviously the newest courses have only been up for a couple of months so I would expect that more people will enroll for them in the future. You can see all eight available courses on the main page of the RAG Learning website.
So what does the future hold for RAG Learning? We have noted over the past year that the most frequent request is for the platform to provide certificates. This is something we are exploring and hope to be able to offer soon. We have made some minor improvements regarding the structure of the module inside courses and continue to review this.
If you have taken the courses and would like to provide us with any feedback, please contact us here. If you would like to get in touch in order to donate content to the community please get in touch here.
Finally, let me note that all of the current courses are provided to us by MTN Group and are available for free. All you have to do is register.
