How might we extend the reach of revenue assurance teams so they cover the customer lifecycle from end to end? That was the topic of John Preston’s talk at RAG London 2017 (pictured above), which also provides the substance for episode 32 of the Commsrisk podcast. John is the Head of Billing, Collections Risk and Assurance at Tesco Mobile, the UK’s largest MVNO. He understands what it means to provide revenue assurance for a big retail telco that has millions of customers, whilst also needing to get the most from a small team that has to be willing to apply themselves to new challenges. This message comes through when listening to John’s presentation, which begins with a short review of typical revenue assurance objectives before exploring the reasons his team keeps moving beyond them.

This year he will be moderating a panel discussion about the challenges and advantages when smaller telcos pursue their RAFM objectives. RAG London will be held at BT’s headquarters on 24th and 25th April. Employees of telcos and regulators can come for free; registration instructions can be found here.
