Malaysian Telco P1 Buys Subex RAFM Solution

Subex has announced it will supply its ROC revenue assurance and fraud management solutions to Packet One Networks, a Malaysian wireless broadband provider that trades as P1. The price was not disclosed. You can read Subex’s press release here.

CC Puan, CEO of Packet One, commented:

…the complexities of risks we face are amplified when compared to traditional voice and data services. Our objective was to evaluate and deploy such solutions that are fully capable of mitigating risks of all types, covering multiple verticals.

This news follows the launch of version 8.3 of Subex’s fraud management software. The new version boasts what Subex calls ‘online statistical rules’, which will supposedly add an extra layer of detection, in addition to the product’s existing memory and statistical rule engines.
