RAG Learning Adds Certification

The most frequent request since the 2018 launch of the first course on RAG Learning has been for certification of students. I am happy to announce that certification is now available for students who complete the Interconnection course. Users of RAG’s learning management system (LMS) can continue to take the course as they have previously by using the “audit track”, or they can upgrade to the “verified track” at any time in order to receive their certificate.

There are two steps to obtain a certificate. To verify the student’s identity it is necessary for each student to use their webcams to take photos of themselves and their ID. The images are processed by the LMS host within two working days, with the host having adopted controls to protect the user’s privacy and security. A validated identity will remain valid for one year for the entire LMS. Upgrading to the “verified” track also involves a USD25 processing fee, which can be paid to RAG using PayPal.

When it has been confirmed that all necessary coursework has been successfully completed, students can navigate to the “Progress” page where they will be able to generate their own certificate. There are several ways to share certificates:

  • via Linkedin;
  • by directly linking to a unique URL; or
  • by printing the certificate.

All three options will always be accessible via the student’s online dashboard. You can see a sample certificate here.

Any enrolled student can now verify their ID and opt-in to the verified track in order to gain a certificate for the Interconnection course. Certification for more courses will be added soon. I look forward to the response from learners as we continue to offer more to the community.

As always you can send your feedback to me. Anyone wanting to donate new training materials should get in touch with RAG.
