Since my previous post on RAG Learning we have continued to see encouraging signs that the RAFM community has embraced this initiative. To reiterate, the Risk & Assurance Group (RAG) aims to provide an online training platform which will host content from telcos or RAFM vendors, and make it available to anyone interested for free.
At the time of writing we have 132 registered users, of which 96 were active during May. Below is a map summarising the traffic per country for April and May.
As you can see the vast majority of users, predictably, come from the UK. This is followed by South Africa, United States, Ireland, Sudan, India, Belgium, Egypt, and Australia to round out the top 10. South Africa is the home of MTN which is the company donating the pilot course for us. The remaining countries represent a good mix from all continents apart from South America. This might be a great reason to translate our content in future to attract users from this area of the world as well.
Traffic has been steady since RAG London at the end of April, apart from a noticeable peak at the beginning of May. In addition, we observe that most users tend to work on weekdays with weekends dipping in traffic.
New additions to RAG Learning include an FAQ section to address some of the most common questions we have been asked. The question that recurs most is whether users who complete a course will be able to receive a certificate. This functionality was not considered a priority for the initial launch of the beta trial, but we will seek to test the capability to provide certificates as the trial continues and we introduce additional functionality to the system.
The pilot of RAG Learning has taken off and the RAFM community is benefiting. If you are a telco that would like to donate content please contact us here. If you are an RAFM professional looking for some quality education material available for free then register and see what it’s all about.
Stay tuned… this is only the beginning.
