Do you know a telco which has an excellent Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program? If so, then maybe you should nominate them for the annual ERM Award of Distinction, as presented by the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).
Submissions are rated against four criteria:
- demonstrating what additional value has been created or how the ERM program protected existing value;
- illustrating the value gained in how the ERM program aligns with the organization’s strategy and mission;
- evidence of the depth and breadth of the ERM program across the organization; and
- showing how the ERM program assisted with process consolidation or efficiencies.
More and more telcos have ERM programs, but no telco has won the award, or even received an honorable mention. Maybe it is time to change that. If telco ERM programs are not demonstrating what value they add, they must also be failing to use data to deliver superior analysis whilst mitigating risks like fraud and network outages.
If you intend to nominate a telco that you know, then you had better hurry! The deadline for submitting applications is August 15th. You can download the submission form from here.
