Should Assurance Be in Finance?

Most revenue assurance teams sit in the finance division of their telco, but not all do. Some believe it is better for assurance to be located elsewhere in the business. The relative advantages and disadvantages were debated by the assurance panel at the summer conference of the Risk & Assurance Group (pictured above), and there was a very interesting exchange of views between three experienced telecoms assurance managers:

  • John Bangs, Head of Operational Integrity & Technical Compliance at UK multiplay provider Sky (pictured left);
  • Pedro Bravo, Revenue Assurance and Credit Scoring Manager at Portuguese multiplay operator NOS (second from right); and
  • Alex Cassettari, Head of Revenue and Margin Assurance for another British multiplay telco, TalkTalk (third from right).

RAG has shared the video of their discussion, and you can watch it below.

Such conversations are the hallmarks of the Risk & Assurance Group. Those who want to hear more, and to take part, should register to attend the RAG Winter Meeting, which is coming up on Thursday 3rd November in London.
