It has to be said that the first Revenue Assurance Group (RAG) meeting of 2015 went very well and had unprecedented attendance and interest. As always the agenda was solid, interesting and the speakers gave excellent insights, thoughts and challenges to some of the current views problems and perceptions within our fields.
Presentations from the day are now available in the Meetings section in the Member’s Area of the RAG website. Thanks to the following speakers for donating their slides:
- Hugh Roberts;
- Tal Eisner of TEOCO;
- Jason Lane-Sellers on behalf of the Communications Fraud Control Association; and
- Bartek Bukowski of Three.
Thanks also to Peter Quarmby of Tesco Mobile for running his workshop on proposition abuse. Sadly, interactive workshops are not the kind of thing you can easily share on the web!
If you’re a member of RAG and having trouble accessing the content, or you haven’t yet received your member credentials, please tell us by email. And if you’re not a member, then why not? It’s free to join, and as well as gaining access to this content you’ll also be kept informed of future events, goings on and insights from the RAG. All you need to do is get in touch and tell us who you are.
RAG depends on the hard work of volunteers who sit on the organising committee. Let me also thank them individually: John Preston of Tesco Mobile (pictured, standing right); Scheherazade Bokhari of EE; and Eric Priezkalns of no fixed abode. They help me by inviting speakers and ensuring the agenda is always topical and relevant.
If you don’t know much about RAG, but think it might be something you would enjoy, then I recommend you read Eric’s recent article. It’s wonderful that so many British telcos take part, but we at Cartesian would really like to know if there is interest in moving the event to a bigger venue in London, so we can accommodate more visitors from international telcos, or if some of you would like us to arrange similar events in different parts of the world.
Our planning for the Summer meeting has already begun. We’re always interested to know your thoughts and views on what you want us to address. So if you want to propose something for discussion or would like to give a presentation of your own, please let me know.
