Indian RAFM vendor Subex has recruited Suresh Chintada (pictured), formerly a Senior Director at network infrastructure provider CommScope, to be their new Chief Technology Officer. Subex describe Chintada as somebody who has…
…built and scaled large global software engineering, professional services and technical support services operations, serving industry verticals like cable, telecom, mobile and wireless networking.
Chintada’s appointment fits a pattern where Subex seeks to reinvent themselves and reduce their dependency on revenues from CDR-based analytics. This was reinforced by a press release from the firm, which quoted CEO Vinod Kumar as saying:
…the industry is undergoing massive transformations and advancements, requiring solutions vendors to come up with differentiated offering that are technologically ground-breaking. With over two decades of experience, Suresh has a deep understanding of creating product strategies geared towards accelerating growth, both from an organizational and customer-led viewpoint. We are confident that Suresh will augment and scale the technical leadership at Subex and strengthen our offerings towards being the front-runner of enabling Digital Trust [sic].
Chintada spent over five years overseeing software engineering at ARRIS, and remained with the telecoms equipment manufacturer when it was acquired by CommScope in a 2018 deal worth USD7.4bn. Before ARRIS, Chintada worked at Motorola for almost a decade.
