I am honored to be in Auckland, New Zealand, where I am a guest speaker at the Fraud Forum of the Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association (PITA). RAFM professionals from Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and many other Pacific islands are meeting with peers from Australia and NZ to do what we all should do on a regular basis: talk to each other about our work.
You might be wondering what I can talk about, given that I do not have a proper job any more. However, running Commsrisk involves almost as much work as a real job (although the pay is much worse) and I get to see which subjects generate the most interest amongst risk and assurance practitioners worldwide. So luckily for me, the guys and gals of PITA wanted me to discuss the hot topics in global revenue assurance and fraud management, and I might be competent to do that.
Certainly I have opinions about the biggest issues facing RAFM. I hope that by combining those opinions with lots of data on Commsrisk page views, social media activity, and polls recently conducted at the RAG Summer Conference, I will keep the PITA crew entertained for a while, even if they disagree with everything I say. You may not be in Auckland but you can still disagree with me, because my slides can be viewed below. Enjoy!
