Atul Jain, the founder and CEO of TEOCO, is not afraid to think differently. He left India to study in the USA, but abandoned his academic pursuits to start his own telecoms analytics business instead. Whilst most entrepreneurs seek external funding to fuel the rise of their enterprise, Atul has shunned it, and he takes pride in spelling out the name of his business: The Employee Owned Company. This attitude has not stopped TEOCO’s growth; some parties estimate TEOCO’s annual revenues are over USD150mn. Whilst a history of acquisitions means Atul has employees around the world, he decided to come to the RAG London conference and speak to the audience himself. Furthermore, his talk was not about risk or assurance but the challenges involved in delivering significantly superior results. To get much better results you have to be willing to think differently, and Atul demonstrated this in practice by giving a keynote presentation that was amusing and unexpected. Take a look at the video below for the opening five minutes of Atul’s wit and wisdom.
