Rene Felber, Head of Risk and RAFM at Telia in Finland, and occasional Commsrisk contributor, has been given the TM Forum’s Outstanding Contributor Award for his promotion of the TMF’s revenue assurance best practices. The announcement observes:
Rene… is recognized as a vocal, active, and long-standing leader in the areas of revenue assurance and fraud management.
There is no argument about that. People who work for telcos have very little time to promote the RAFM discipline outside of work, but Rene makes time to evangelize at every opportunity. He is the kind of guy who sacrifices his leisure hours to help his colleagues, whether that involves calling his contacts to encourage them to take part in his latest survey, flying to give presentations at the conferences run by the Risk & Assurance Group (as pictured above), or giving an interview for the Commsrisk podcast. Rene sets a great example and deserves respect as a role model. Well done to Rene!
