Who owns Risk?

An interesting article from CFO.com.

In my limited exposure to risk management organisation design I have never encountered risk being owned by the CFO. At least, in practice I have never seen it implemented to report to the CFO.

  1. Hey G,

The article draws on a survey done by Accenture, but after reading their report, I don’t trust the findings. I will do a proper post about Accenture’s report some other time, but to summarize, there are too many suspicious gaps in the data they present. This makes me question how complete the responses were from each of the respondents, or whether Accenture edited out answers that didn’t support the conclusions they wanted to reach.
